AUDITION DATES

• Saturday, July 11, 2pm – 6pm

• Tuesday, July 14, 7pm – 10pm

Location: Falls Church Presbyterian Church, 225 E Broad St, Falls Church, VA 22046

Auditions will be readings from the script. Audition sides will be emailed to those signed up a few days before the audition date. No materials/monologues need to be prepared prior to auditions. There will also be a movement call for those actors interested in LILLI, LILLIAN, and/or the ENSEMBLE. Please plan to stay for the entire audition time.

CALLBACKS

Callbacks, by invitation only, will be on Thursday, July 16, 7pm – 10 pm, at Falls Church Presbyterian Church 225 E Broad St, Falls Church, VA 22046.

• Thursdays, Oct. 1st (Preview), 8th, and 15th at 7:30pm

• Fridays, Oct. 2nd, 9th, and 16th at 7:30pm

• Saturdays, Oct. 3rd, 10th, and 17th at 2:00pm

• Sundays, Oct. 4th and 11th at 7:00pm

Please note that Oct. 10th – 11th is the weekend of Columbus Day/Indigenous People’s Day.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

We are committed to inclusive casting. All roles are open to actors of any race, ethnicity, and body type. All performers must be 18 or older. Additionally, many roles could be played by actors of any gender, provided they are comfortable playing characters that are referred to with those pronouns.

• LILLI BARNES—an aspiring photographer, 16 - female - actor must be over 18

• MABEL HALLAM—auditions by invite only

• HELEN BARNES—Lilli’s pragmatic and religious mother - 30s, female

• EMMA HALLAM—Mabel’s idealistic and spiritual mother - 30s, female

• ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE—a world-renowned author - 50s, male

• FRANCESCA “FRANKIE” CANFIELD—a skeptical American reporter - 20s – 30s, female

• “MADAM LUCRETZIA SPINOZA” AKA BESSIE SMITH—a fraudulent medium -  30s – 50s, female

• CHRISTINE CANFIELD—a reporter and Frankie’s granddaughter - 20s – 30s, female

• LILLIAN BARNES—the famous fairy photographer as a grown-up - 60s – 70s, female

• ENSEMBLE: 4 female/nonbinary individuals and 4 men of varying ages to play 20+ characters, including the FAIRIES. All Ensemble roles are speaking roles.
